This is my collection of miniatures painted by Sebastian Archer aka "Automaton"

Automaton is one of the most famous and appreciated painters in the world. Currently ranked 11th in the Top Artists list on Coolminiornot , he slowly moved from being one of the most famous painter in the world of fantasy miniatures to a successful careeer as a sculptor.

Sebastian has won his first prize in 2005 in the Australian edition of the Golden Demon organized by Games-Workshop. His fame in the world of miniature painters has been grown ever since.

Brom - Enigma Miniatures - 54mm

This is Sebastian's interpretation of the amazing sculpt by Raul La Torre. This is Sebastian's highest rated miniature with a score of 9.7 and almost 700 votes on Coolminiornot!! This miniature was the 4th best miniature painted in 2008 (Fantasy Category) in the whole world!!

This was a present from Sebastian himself in occasion of his first trip to Italy. It was an amazing experience and a honor to spend some time with him. For the memories of those days it is the most important miniature of my whole collection. Thanks again Seb!!

This miniatures is still in production by Enigma miniatures.

Ork Nob - Games Workshop

This miniature was painted by Sebastian to compete in the Australiab Golden Demon 2006 where it won a Gold Demon in the "Single Miniature - Warhammer 40,000" category. This category is usually one of the most difficult categories in the Golden Demon painting competition. It is the second of Sebastian's miniatures to be awarded in a Golden Demon competition, after the 2005 Slayer Sword in the Australian Golden Demon. It is based on a plastic ork heavily converted and partially sculpted with green stuff. Its score on Coolminiornot is 9.6 with over 380 votes.

Brown Orc Leader - Ilyad Games

(Black Moon Chronicles)

This is one of the most famous miniatures painted by Sebastian displaying his mastery in the technique of realistic metallics. It has a score of 9.7 with more than 300 votes on CMON.

Sebastian painted this miniature in August 2007 for the Ravage Mix Open in Paris. Sebastian painted is as a tribute to the sculptor Allan Carrasco.

Allan's original vision of this gorilla-like orc had a tail, but Sebastian decided to leave it off.

Ilyad is probably the most famous deceased companies manufacturing miniatures, at least in the painters community. Its miniatures were sculpted by the best sculptors of the time including Allan Carrasco, Jacques Alexandre Gillois and Thomas David. Ilyad miniatures are extremely rare and quite expensive even unpainted!

Games Day Ork Boss - Games Workshop

This miniature was painted in 2007. It is the Games Day Ork Boss available at Games Day 2007 as a promo miniature. Its score on Coolminiornot is 9.5 with over 200 votes. It was a commission work Sebastian did for an Italian collector so was never entered in any painting contest. I was able to get this miniature from this Italian collector when he decided to sell most of his miniatures.

Sulfur Knight - Knight of the Baronnies - Ilyad Games

This was my last commission job to Automaton. It was inspired by his blue version of the Chevalier de Baronnies (Ilyad).

I have always been amazed by the incredible work done on the shield of that miniature and Sebastian offered to paint a new version for me. Thanks again Sebastian!
